The Alchemist, Canary Wharf

The Alchemist, Canary Wharf

The Alchemist cocktail bar and restaurants are famed for celebrating molecular mixology, alchemy and craftmanship. With drinks served in all manner of vessels, and a commitment to “theatre served”, the Alchemist is as much about the venue as the food and drinks on offer.

The Alchemist Canary Wharf is the most recent addition to the family and the biggest site to date.

Found in the bustling location overlooking Reuters Plaza, the near 6000 sq ft prominent site is set over two floors, with floor to ceiling glazed sides.

Interior architects for the project, Macauley Sinclair, approached Foundry to design the lighting scheme for the new bar and restaurant. The brief was to produce a dynamic lighting scheme that would assist in showcasing the interior design of the space and emphasise its rich material palette.

It was crucial a structured lighting solution be implemented due to the expansive glass frontage, using light to create visual depth to the space after dark.

Overall the lighting design has been mixed together in perfect chemistry to beautifully match the personality and feel of The Alchemist.
